When you traffic starts to boom after a recent social media campaign, obviously it was a success. If your traffic stays the same, you need to try something else.

Using Social Media to Find a Job
Many of us spend a lot of time online whether it’s on Facebook, Twitter, or on our blog. Why not put that time to even a better use. I have a couple of links here that you can use to either find a job using different social media sites or strengthen your resume.
7 Secrets to Getting Your Next Job Using Social Media
This first article is from Mashable. Mashable usually have great articles and these “secrets” that the author gives are more like tips. Regardless, they are helpful and if you aren’t taking advantage of them than you are missing out.
HOW TO: Build the Ultimate Social Media Resume
Another article from Mashable from the same author as the one above. The best tips in the article are the last two: integrate your social network profiles and make your resume shareable. There are quite a few social network aggregator s (which I will post a list of tomorrow) which let you easily integrate them. The author also gives a few examples of social media resumes so you can get a good idea on how to do it.
Using Social Media to Find a Job in a Down Economy

Building A Community with Social Media
This week I am going to be diving into social media. There are probably just as many blogs dedicated to social media as there are blogs dedicated to SEO. So let’s take a look at a few articles.
7 Traits of a Social Media-Friendly Web Site
This article goes through some easy steps to make your site and your posts social media-friendly. From those little icons so readers can bookmark or share to setting up a blog. There is also a few great links provided through the article.
Matt McGee, the author, also stresses the importance of the headline of your posts. Having an eye-catching title that draws the reader into the post is something that isn’t just geared towards social media. It seems pretty obvious to me that if you are writing things online, especially a blog, that one of your main goals is to get people to read it.
Your article title should be written almost like newspaper headlines. Those are supposed to reel you in and make you want to read the actual article. These posts will do well on social media sharing sites like Digg, Reddit, and StumbleUpon.
27 Blogging Secrets to Power Your Community
What’s better than having a lot of people read your blog? Building a community centered around it. Once you have a small community of people that comment a lot, your site will be taken to the next level. Not only will you be posting great content, but your readers will add even more information. I will be writing something later on this week which will give more information about this, but Chris Brogan’s article gives a lot of great tips.
