Ebooks are a great way to market your site. If your ebook is full of some great content and you give it away for free, generally people will talk about it and link to it. Basically giving you a ton of great back links.
If the purpose of your ebook is to make some money, than you can make it a little longer and sell it online. At a lot of publisher sites, you can set up affiliate programs which will allow others to make money by promoting your book. Whats better than that?!
